Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

More about Mindfulness for Stress

Mindfulness is being in the present moment with openness and curiosity. It is about training your mind muscle for greater awareness. Awareness can be of your inner and outer world of experience. With greater awareness comes greater self-understanding and the ability to make meaningful choices moment by moment.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is an internationally recognized program focused on teaching the skills of mindfulness. Mindfulness can then be used to understand and recognize stress so we can reduce it and live more skillfully. Less stress leads the way for greater joy, happiness, health, vitality, resiliency, meaning and hope. MBSR was developed over 45 years ago by Jon Kabat-Zinn and has paved the way for mindfulness becoming part of western culture and modern medicine.
